Dan Rua has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Dan is currently the CEO of Admiral, a company that focuses on visitor relationship management. Prior to this, they served on the board of directors and as the past executive chairman of IZEA, a pioneer and leader in sponsored social native advertising. Dan also served on the board of directors for Immersed Games and as the managing partner of Inflexion Venture Capital.

Dan has extensive experience in the technology sector, including serving as a board observer and past board of directors member for CallMiner, a company specializing in speech analytics. Dan was also an investor, COO, and head of revenue at Grooveshark, a pioneering on-demand music streaming service.

Additionally, Dan has experience in venture capital, having worked as a partner at Draper Atlantic, where they managed two funds and built over 30 early-stage technology companies. Dan also founded FullSeven Technologies, an interactive email company that was acquired.

Early in their career, Dan worked in intellectual property and networking & encryption products at IBM. Overall, Dan Rua has a breadth of experience in executive leadership, board roles, venture capital, and technology companies.

Dan Rua's education history begins with their high school education at Hillsborough High School, from 1983 to 1986. Dan then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in the field of Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Following their undergraduate degree, they attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1995 to 1999. During this time, they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, specializing in Venture Finance & Intellectual Property. Dan also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree focused on Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital.
