Trevor Abbott has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Trevor started their career at YMCA as a Head Lifeguard, where they gained experience in lifeguarding and swimming instruction. From there, they moved on to Study Edge, where they worked as a Marketing/Expansion Intern.
In 2013, Trevor founded Gator Innovators, an organization that connects University of Florida students with local companies and provides resources for aspiring entrepreneurs. During the same time, they also worked as a House and Team Manager at The HackerHouse, where they led a team in creating prototypes for commercialization.
In 2014, Trevor joined GAIN (Gainesville Area Innovation Network) as a Board Member, where they supported entrepreneurship in the Gainesville community. Trevor also co-founded SpinChill in 2013 and served as the CEO until 2017. SpinChill applied mechanical engineering to solve the problem of warm beer.
Trevor's most recent role was as a Director of Business Development at Admiral: The Visitor Relationship Management Company, where they focused on growing visitor relationships and revenue. Additionally, they are currently a Board Member at startupGNV, a startup community in Gainesville.
Throughout their career, Trevor has demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and building relationships. Their experiences range from leading teams and organizations to contributing to startups and supporting the local community.
Trevor Abbott completed their secondary education at Gulf High School from 2006 to 2010. Trevor then pursued higher education at the University of Florida, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2010 to 2014.
