Dan Whaley

Dan Whaley is a seasoned entrepreneur and innovative leader in technology and open source initiatives. As the Founder of Hypothesis since February 2011, Dan has developed a platform dedicated to collaborative knowledge sharing. In addition, Dan serves as Executive Chairman of BTP Automation, contributing to the evolution of the online travel industry. Co-founding Invest in Open Infrastructure in 2018, Dan advocates for open science tools. Dan also holds a founding board member position at Getaround, which emerged from a class project at Singularity University. Previous roles include Lead Series A Investor and Board Member at Sauce Labs Inc., and Founder and CEO of Climos, focusing on CO2 reduction strategies. Dan's early career highlights include founding GetThere and the Internet Travel Network, both pivotal in launching the online travel and SaaS industries. Dan earned a BA in English and Photography from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
