Adam Tolman

Adam Tolman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Adam started their career as the Lead User Experience Designer at SpectrumDNA, Inc. and worked on creating user experiences across web, iOS, and Android platforms. Adam then transitioned to Overstock.com as the Senior Manager, Design for a short period. After that, they worked at Entrata as a Senior User Experience Designer before joining Lendio as the Director of Product Design. At Lendio, they served for two years before moving to Underbelly, where they took on the role of Design Director. In this position, they led a team of multidisciplinary designers, ensuring high-quality design for clients such as Facebook and Netflix. Adam then joined Pluralsight as a Senior Product Designer and contributed to the company's design efforts. Later, they became the Head of Product at Slingshot Technology, Inc., leading the organization in product management and design. The company was subsequently acquired by WorkWave. Following this, Adam joined Instagram as the Product Design Lead, where they served until July 2023. Currently, they are the Founding Designer at Applause. Most recently, they took on the role of Lead Product Designer at DX, starting in January 2024.

Adam Tolman attended Salt Lake Community College from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Visual Art and Design with a focus in Graphic Design. In 2005, they briefly studied Design at the University of Utah.
