Ryan Ptak is a seasoned professional in the waste management and energy sectors, currently serving as the Head of Alternative Fuels at GETEC Group since March 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Sales Director at EEW Energy from Waste GmbH, where responsibilities encompassed the acquisition and management of 5 million tonnes of waste annually for thermal treatment. Ptak held several leadership roles at Veolia Deutschland from August 2015 to June 2021, including Director of Business Development and Managing Director of subsidiaries, focusing on industrial and non-industrial facility management. Prior to Veolia, Ptak managed strategic wood purchasing at SWISS KRONO Group and consulted on energy and industry projects at Pöyry Management Consulting. Ptak holds a Master’s degree in Forest Ecology and Sustainable Management from The University of Freiburg and has furthered education at AgroParisTech.
