Andy Quallington

Head Of Geoscience Information Products at Getech

Andy Quallington has over 20 years of work experience in the geoscience industry. Andy began their career at Fugro Robertson Ltd as a Petroleum Geologist, where they generated basin analysis and petroleum geology content for various regions. Andy then joined IHS as a Senior Basin Researcher, responsible for generating basin analysis and petroleum geology content for the Basin Monitor product.

In 2008, Andy joined Getech and held various roles, including Manager of the Geology Division, Manager of Regional Reports and Commissions, and Group Manager of the Commissions Business Unit. Andy was also a Senior Geological Consultant and Principal Geologist, providing technical support for the Globe project and managing the Regional Reports component of the Multiclient Business Unit. In their most recent position as the Head of Geoscience Information Products, Andy managed all Multiclient products and Geoscience consulting, with a focus on Globe.

Throughout their career, Andy has demonstrated expertise in project management, client liaison and support, and technical content development. Andy has a successful track record of managing multi-million dollar projects and overseeing teams of staff.

Andy Quallington holds a PhD in Basin Analysis from The University of Manchester, which they pursued from 1991 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Basin Evolution & Dynamics from Royal Holloway, University of London, completing the program in 1991. Andy began their academic journey by earning a BSc in Geology from Aberystwyth University, where they studied from 1987 to 1990.
