Luke Kanies

Luke Kanies is an advisor at Edify. Luke was previously with GitLab, Inc. from June 2017 to March 2019, where they served as an advisor to the CEO on open source, strategy, and entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they were with Accompany from May 2017 to May 2018 as an advisor providing product and market advice. Luke also served as an advisor to the CEO at Reflect Technologies, Inc. from May 2017 to July 2018 on strategy, product, and entrepreneurship.

Kanies is also the founder and CEO of Clickety, which they started in April 2019 and ran until October 2021. The company's mission was to help leaders and managers do their people work better, faster, and more enjoyably. However, they had to close down for personal reasons.

From July 2012 to December 2018, Kanies also served as a board member for the Technology Association of Oregon. Luke is the founder and executive chairperson of Puppet.

Luke Kanies graduated from Reed College with a B.A. in Chemistry. Luke then attended Northland College, where they earned a degree in Chemistry. Finally, they received certification from Puppet Professional.
