George Li

George Li has over 10 years of experience in the fields of compliance, risk, and internal audit. In 2022, they began working as the Director of Compliance & Risk for GetGround. Prior to this, they worked at Deliveroo from 2020 to 2021 as a Senior Risk, Control & Compliance Manager and Compliance Manager. From 2018 to 2020, they were an Internal Audit Senior - Business Assessment & Audit at Oracle, where they were responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of risk reviews to evaluate process design, control deficiencies, compliance, and process improvement. From 2012 to 2018, they worked at KPMG UK in various roles, including Assistant Manager - Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services, Senior Associate - Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services, and Senior Audit Associate. In this role, they worked with client stakeholders across a range of industries to devise risk-focused internal audit plans and audit delivery, and was responsible for financial statement audits for large FTSE-listed international corporate clients.

George Li attended Durham University Business School from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. George then attended ICAEW from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained an ACA Chartered Accounting qualification. In August 2017, they obtained the ACA Qualified certification from ICAEW.
