Claes Bäckström

Claes Bäckström is the Head of Innovation in Critical Care R&D at Getinge, where they lead a team focused on designing advanced Acute Care Therapy products. Previously, Claes worked as a Manager of Product and Interaction Design at Getinge, overseeing the development of products that comply with stringent medical device regulations. Claes's career also includes experience as a Project Manager and Human Factors expert at Saab AB, and as a System Developer at Saab Avionics, contributing to significant projects in both defense and medical fields. They hold a Master of Science in Cognitive Science from Linköpings universitet and have completed studies in Computer Science and Psychology at Lund University. Additionally, Claes gained expertise in Neurobiology and Behavior at Victoria University of Wellington.
