Eric Goossens

They have extensive experience in general management, business development, building effective teams, R&D and operations in high-tech industries across startups, scale-ups and large companies and public-private partnerships. They currently serve as Managing Director (CEO) of Getinge Applikon, where they are responsible for the development, design, engineering and manufacturing of bioreactors, controllers, sensors and software covering upstream bioprocess requirements. They also act as a Scientific Advisory Board member at AaviGen, a pre-clinical biotechnology company focused on curative gene therapies for cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary diseases. Their past leadership roles include COO at GATT Technologies (2022–2024), Managing Director/CEO of Bioprocess Pilot Facility (2017–2022), COO at uniQure (2014–2017), Site Director at Datwyler (2011–2014), and Operations Manager at Sekisui S-Lec (2006–2011).
