Acquim Matuli has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2009, they worked as a Software Developer for Liquorice, where they were responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a software system called Sweetspot. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Software Developer for bidorbuy.co.za. In 2010, they joined Mybeat Interactive as a Specialist Application Developer, where they played a pivotal role in designing and developing the company's customer onboarding system, resulting in significant cost savings.

In 2016, Acquim joined Standard Bank Group as a Software Engineer Consultant, and in 2017, they transitioned to the role of a Senior DevOps Engineer at Standard Bank South Africa. Acquim worked there until 2019, during which they gained expertise in devops methodologies and systems. In 2019, they joined Bidvest Alice as a Senior DevOps Engineer, before moving to AUTO1 Group in the same role. Acquim then went on to co-found fikaTime in 2020 before joining pliant as a Senior DevOps Engineer in 2021. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong technical background and has experience in software development, devops, and entrepreneurship.

Acquim Matuli's education history begins with their completion of their DRC Diplome D'Etat(SA Matric) at Imara High School from 1995 to 1998. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of the Western Cape from 2004 to 2006. They continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, Acquim Matuli enrolled in the University of Cape Town to pursue a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence, but did not complete the program, discontinuing in 2009. Finally, they attended the University of the Witwatersrand for a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management, which they are currently pursuing since starting in 2013.
