Michael Mao

Michael Mao has a solid work experience in the field of technology, specifically as a DevOps Engineer and Full Stack Developer. Michael started their career as a Full-stack Developer intern at JMIR Publications Inc. in 2014, where they contributed to the replatforming project using AngularJS and jQuery. In 2017, they joined Be A Part Of as a Full Stack Developer, working on the League License App project using technologies such as Angular, RESTful API, MySQL, AWS, PHP, OAuth 2.0, and D3.js.

In 2018, Michael joined Hazelway Inc. as a DevOps Engineer, where they designed and built a RESTFUL Agent server for processing and analyzing ecommerce transactions, as well as synchronizing product inventories between Shopify and Wechat Store Platforms.

From 2020 to 2022, they worked at SmartMatch App as a DevOps Engineer, where they implemented a CI/CD pipeline in the Prod/Dev/QA environment using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and CodePipeline. Michael also deployed the application using CloudFormation to AWS Cloud with various AWS services to enhance performance and reduce cost.

In 2022, Michael joined Cognota as a DevOps Engineer, where they are currently involved in their duties.

Michael Mao earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Toronto, where they attended from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in January 2022, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2021, and the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate from HashiCorp in January 2022.
