Philip Black has over 40 years of experience in the retail industry. In 1977, they began their career as a Sales Person at Black's of Peterborough Ltd., a clothing department store owned and operated by their parents. In 1985, they became Owner and President of PBF, a clothing rep agency, representing women's fashion collections. In 1995, they started Dotters Inc., a company that designed and manufactured Ladies' Knit Tops, and manufactured for Roots Canada, Guess, Calvin Klein, Thrifty's and other well known companies. In 2003, they became Vice President of The Suncee Sock Company. In 2004, they became Vice President of Attitude Communications, a company that offered full graphic design, printing of all materials, warehousing and shipping. In 2005, they founded Minicards Canada, an attractive advertising medium that provides tourists and visiting students information on local attractions, museums, restaurants and other venues. In 2017, they became Co-Founder of Emersewell, a company with a mission to accelerate the adoption of VR technology for the Healthcare Industry, and also became VP of Sales and Marketing Canada for GettinLocal, a hyper-local geo-targeting app. In 2018, they became Co-Founder of CareStory.
Philip Black attended Yeshiva University from 1973 to 1976. Philip then attended Western University, but the duration of their attendance is unknown.
