David Thomas

David Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and functions. David currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering at Upside, a marketplace focused on driving value to brick and mortar commerce. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Upwage, a platform that helps low-wage earners find higher-paying jobs. David also held the role of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Xpanse Inc, a fintech startup in the mortgage industry. Before that, they worked as a Senior Engineering Manager at Facebook and as the Director of Product at Indeed.com. David's previous experience includes serving as the Chief Product Officer at Verb Inc, as well as various roles during their MBA program at Chicago Booth. David also held positions at Tsugi Inc, All Web Leads Inc, and Mirage Networks. In summary, David Thomas has a strong background in engineering, product management, and leadership roles in both established companies and startups.

David Thomas holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Prior to this, they completed a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) with Honors in Computer Graphics at Syracuse University.
