William Miller

William Miller has a strong background in UX research and has held various roles throughout their career. William started as a Psychology Aide at the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2008 before moving on to become a Research Fellow at the Consortium Research Fellows Program. In 2010, they became a SMART Fellow at the Naval Postgraduate School and also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University.

Miller then transitioned into industry, taking on roles such as Chief Technical Consultant at AHR Site Selection Solution and Information Technology Specialist at Embroidery Etc. William later joined HARMAN International as a User Researcher Specialist at Microsoft.

In 2020, Miller joined Capital One as a Research Manager, specializing in AI Design. Most recently, they have been working at Upside as a Senior UX Researcher and is currently serving as Principal UX Researcher. Despite having various positions, Miller has consistently focused on research and user experience throughout their career.

William Miller has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton, which they earned from 2006 to 2010. William then pursued further studies at George Mason University, where they received a Master of Arts in Psychology with a focus on Human Factors and Applied Cognition from 2010 to 2012. Continuing their education at George Mason University, William completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology with a specialization in Human Factors and Applied Cognition from 2012 to 2017.
