Derek Durfey

Derek Durfey has a solid background in accounting and finance, with extensive experience in various roles within prominent organizations. Currently serving as Assistant Controller at Weave since May 2021, Derek has also held positions such as Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant within the same company. Prior experience includes working as an Assurance Associate at PwC and an Accountant at HealthEquity. Derek’s career began with an internship as an Audit Intern at Grant Thornton LLP, followed by a role as an Accounting Clerk at HealthEquity. Academically, Derek holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, completed in 2019 and 2017, respectively.
