Derek Nelson

Derek Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Derek started their career at Provo Beach in 2012 as an Assistant Manager, where they worked until August 2013. In 2014, Derek joined InsideSales.com as a Product Specialist, later transitioning to the role of Business Analyst where they handled tasks such as data management, sales process improvement, and deal management until the end of 2015. From January to March 2016, Derek served as a Customer Success Manager at InsideSales.com, overseeing customer relationships, developing success plans, and ensuring customer satisfaction. In April 2016, they joined XANT.ai (formerly InsideSales.com) as a Business System Analyst, where they worked until March 2020. In this role, Derek contributed to the company's revenue acceleration efforts through the utilization of AI-powered behavioral insights. Recently, in March 2020, Derek joined Weave HQ as a Lead Salesforce Administrator.

Derek Nelson began their education journey by completing an Associate's Degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University - Idaho, spanning from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they pursued further studies and received a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University between 2012 and 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Derek Nelson has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Notably, they earned the "Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certification" from Salesforce in September 2022, the "Weave 201" certification from Weave in June 2022, and the "Copado Fundamentals I" certification from Copado in May 2022.

Furthermore, Derek Nelson has achieved Salesforce certifications in the past, including the "Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (SCAA)" in May 2017 and the "Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA)" in April 2017. Prior to these, they acquired the "Certified InsidesSales.com Advanced System Administrator" certification from XANT.ai in March 2015 and the "Certified InsidesSales.com System Administrator" certification from InsideSales.com in August 2014.
