Mitch McKenzie

Mitch McKenzie has over 20 years of work experience, with a focus on software engineering and site reliability engineering. Mitch is currently working as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Weave since May 2021. Prior to this, Mitch worked at Mutual of Omaha as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer from June 2019 to May 2021. Mitch also worked at TD Ameritrade as a Java Performance Engineer for a brief period in April 2019 to June 2019. Before that, they held a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Markel from October 2011 to April 2019. Mitch began their career as a Software Engineer at Werner Enterprises from February 2007 to October 2011, and before that, they worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as a Software Engineer from June 2000 to February 2007.

Mitch McKenzie has a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Mitch also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field from the same university. Mitch has obtained several certifications, including the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle, Graduate Certificate in Systems Analysis and Design from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, and CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist from The Linux Foundation. Additionally, Mitch has obtained AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
