Alexander Butenko

Alexander Butenko has a strong background in machine learning and data science. Alexander served as a Senior MLOps Engineer / Backend Engineer at GetYourGuide starting from December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at MTS Group as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer from June 2021 to December 2022. In this role, they designed a scalable recommender system pipeline, developed a personalization platform, built and deployed multiple recommendation algorithms, and managed a small team of developers. Before that, Alexander worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Raiffeisen Bank Russia from July 2018 to June 2021, and as a Data Scientist at SAS from November 2016 to June 2018.

Alexander Butenko attended the Higher School of Economics from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics.
