Mike Silley

Mike Silley has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Mike began their career in 2010 as the Business and Facilities Chair at the Alma Mater Society of UBC Vancouver, where they successfully enhanced profits of multiple businesses and discovered critical accounting errors. From 2011 to 2012, they served as the Vice-President Administration at the same organization, leading a major sustainable building project and implementing improvements in club administration.

In 2012, Mike joined The University of British Columbia as a Board of Governors member. During their tenure, they made significant contributions to the Board's Property and Planning Committee and played an active role in the Housing Action Plan taskforce. Mike also successfully improved the efficiency of the Bachelor's of International Economics program and lowered student tuition.

Mike then transitioned to the corporate world, starting as a Financial Analyst at Dtermin in 2014, followed by a position as a Business Strategy Consultant at Teligence. In 2015, they co-founded Somatic Technologies.

In 2015, Mike joined GetYourGuide, where they have held progressively senior roles. Mike started as a Performance Marketing Analyst and quickly advanced to Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, and currently holds the position of Lead Product Manager.

Mike Silley attended The University of British Columbia from 2006 to 2012, where they studied Sociology. Mike later pursued a degree in Urban Land Economics and attended The University of British Columbia from 2012 to 2014.
