Philipp Sieber

Philipp Sieber has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Philipp is currently working as a Senior Security Engineer at GetYourGuide, starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of an Application Security Engineer at Vontobel from November 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining Vontobel, Sieber served as the Managing Director of Compass Security Cyber Defense AG at Compass Security AG from September 2015 to September 2019.

Philipp also worked at CREALOGIX Group - The Leader for the Digital Bank, where they held the position of Senior Security Architect from June 2006 to July 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Architect from January 2004 to May 2006.

Sieber began their career at hmi informatik ag, where they worked as a Senior Software Developer from August 2001 to December 2003. Philipp started as a Software Developer at the same company from April 1999 to July 2001.

Philipp Sieber completed their education with a Master's Degree in Computer Science from ETH Zürich, which they pursued from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Kantonsschule Heerbrugg and obtained their High School degree between 1996 and 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Philipp has acquired several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Philipp obtained the AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2023. In March 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification, also from Amazon Web Services. In December 2020, Philipp received the ForgeRock Certified Access Management Specialist certification from ForgeRock. Prior to that, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in July 2019. In December 2018, they acquired the Certified Blockchain Expert - V2 certification from the Blockchain Council. Philipp has additional certifications including CEHv8 (Certified Ethical Hacker) from EC-Council in July 2014, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)² in February 2012, and Sun Certified Java Developer and Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems in 2006 and 2004 respectively.
