Sam Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Beginning in 2011, Sam worked as an Au Pair in Spain for two months. In 2012, Sam served as an English Language Assistant at the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Ávila. This experience continued in 2014 at Lycée Jules Ferry & Lycée Georges Cormier, where Sam again worked as an English Language Assistant. In 2015, Sam was a Trainee MFL Teacher (Spanish & French) at Ribblesdale High School for a brief period. The following year, Sam held the same position at Balshaw's Church of England High School. Sam transitioned to a career in customer service in 2017, starting as a Customer Service Agent (English, Spanish & French) at GetYourGuide. This led to a promotion as a Corporate Trainer (Customer Service) in the same company until 2019. From 2019 to 2020, Sam worked as an Associate Team Lead (Customer Service) and later as a Team Lead (Customer Service). In 2021, Sam held the role of Quality Assurance Manager (Customer Service) before transitioning to the current role as an Operations Analyst (Customer Service Operations) at GetYourGuide since December 2021.

Sam Taylor has a diverse education history. They completed a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in Secondary Spanish with Qualified Teacher Status (including a Master ELE/Elements) at the University of Cumbria from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they undertook a Subject Knowledge Enhancement Course (SKE) in French at the University of Hull in 2014. Sam's undergraduate studies were focused on Spanish Studies and English Language, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons.) degree from Lancaster University between 2010 and 2014.

Furthermore, they have completed a Dyslexia and Foreign Language Teaching course from FutureLearn and obtained a Language Impairment Testing Certificate (LIT1: Literacy Standard, NUM1: Numeracy Standard) from Pearson VUE. Sam also holds certifications in German (8-Week Intensive German Language Certificate), French (DELF B2 French Language), and Catalan (Catalan Certificate Level A2).

Additionally, Sam completed a Pre-Teaching Course at Liverpool Hope University in 2009 and a Management and Leadership: Growing as a Manager course at The Open University Business School in 2018.
