Peter Alsen

Peter Alsen has an extensive background in geology and paleontology, holding a Dr. scient. degree and Cand. scient. degree from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Professional experience includes serving as a research assistant and curator at Østsjællands Museum, where curation focused on fossil collections from the Late Cretaceous and Early Paleogene periods. Following this, Peter worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Copenhagen before taking a senior research geologist role at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), where employment has continued since October 2007. Earlier roles include positions as a research assistant and Ph.D. student at the University of Copenhagen, as well as a student assistant at GEUS.
