Eric Frey

Eric Frey started their work experience as a PhD Candidate in Physics at Rice University in 2008. During this time, they focused on imaging and manipulating single biological molecules using atomic force microscopy. Eric also developed new methods of theory and data analysis for nonequilibrium statistical thermodynamics of nano-sized systems and discovered design principles for self-assembly of novel nano-structures from single RNA monomers. In 2014, they joined Citi as a Placement Associate and later worked as an Associate, Vice President, Director, and Director of Clean Energy Transition. In 2022, they joined Gevo, Inc. as the Vice President of Finance.

Eric Frey earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics from Miami University in 2008. Eric later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Rice University, starting in 2014.
