Senior Civil Engineer

Bryan Grom, P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of civil engineering and materials management. From 2005, they worked as a Senior Civil Engineer at TranSystems, where they served as the Materials Manager for the City of Chicago. Bryan'sresponsibilities included coordinating daily Quality Assurance activities, assisting with program management, managing specialty material inspections, and updating specifications and material reports.

Prior to their role at TranSystems, Bryan worked at the Illinois Department of Transportation from 1993. From 1999 to 2005, they served as the Local Agency Mixture Control Supervisor for IDOT's District One. In this position, they ensured compliance with State and Federal guidelines for materials in FAUS and MFT Local Agency projects, with a focus on Hot Mix Asphalt, Portland Cement Concrete, Aggregates, and Soil-related materials.

From 1993 to 1999, Bryan held the role of Mixture Control Inspector at IDOT. In this capacity, they conducted daily inspections for Hot Mix Asphalt and Portland Cement Concrete, ensuring compliance with contract documents. Bryan also oversaw plant calibrations and handled material deficiencies and corrective actions to ensure compliance with specifications.

Bryan Grom, P.E. received their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University, where they studied from 1987 to 1993.
