Steven D'Ortone

Steven D'Ortone, P.E. is an accomplished engineering professional with a strong background in water and wastewater systems. Currently serving as a Senior Project Engineer at GFT since June 2024, Steven previously held positions at Mott MacDonald, progressing from Project Engineer to Senior Project Manager between June 2019 and January 2023. From January 2013 to June 2019, Steven worked as a Water and Wastewater Engineer at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, focusing on designing systems and conducting site feasibility studies. Prior experience includes serving as a Regulatory and Compliance Engineer II at the Maryland Department of the Environment from June 2009 to January 2013, where Steven conducted inspections of public drinking water systems. Early experience includes roles as a Lab Assistant at the University of Delaware and as an Engineering Intern at Tredyffrin Township. Steven holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware, obtained in 2009.
