Kara Weaver has over 18 years of experience in the field of landscape architecture, currently serving as Principal at GGN since April 2011, where previous roles included Senior Associate, Associate, and Designer. Prior experience includes serving as a Landscape Design Associate at The Portico Group from June 2005 to April 2011 and a brief tenure as an Urban Design Work Study at the City of Seattle Department of Planning & Development in 2004. Kara Weaver holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Washington, obtained between 2002 and 2005.

GGN was the recipient of the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Landscape Architecture in 2011. The firm’s project awards include ASLA National Awards of Excellence, ASLA and AIA Honor Awards for Design, Tucker Design Awards, Society for Campus and University Planning Awards, and Great Places Awards from the Environmental Design Research Association.
