Youri Derks

Youri Derks is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, researcher, and strategic policy professional currently engaged with GGNet. They serve as a university lecturer at the University of Twente in the Psychology, Health & Technology department, and hold a senior lecturer position in Innovation within the RCSW. Previously, Youri has worked in various roles, including as a psychologist for the Gelderland-Midden police and as a guest lecturer at the Police Academy. Their research interests focus on severe personality disorders and complex PTSD, and they are a co-creator of the Sense-it app, collaborating with clinicians and researchers from multiple institutions. Youri obtained a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Twente and has completed additional training in clinical psychology and as a Gz-psychologist.
