Ann Bechtel

Ann Bechtel is an accomplished Environmental Engineer currently serving as an Operations Lead and Business Group Leader at GHD since January 2023. Prior to this role, Ann held the position of Principal Engineer at CDM Smith from October 2019 to January 2023. Ann’s extensive experience also includes serving as Division Manager at Atkins for nearly 17 years, and earlier roles as a Water Resources Engineering Tech at Project Design Consultants and Engineering Tech at SD RWQCB. Ann began a career in landscape design as a Landscape Designer at Lauchlin R Bethune Landscape. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from San Diego State University, alongside studies in Landscape Architecture at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, and a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, Business from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
