Ben Jansen is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience spanning over four decades. Starting as an Exploration Geologist at Australian Industrial Refractories from January 1980 to February 1990, Ben specialized in refractory minerals and was involved in quality assurance and quality control for various manufacturing plants. Following this, Ben served as a Senior Geologist at Geo-Eng Australia Pty Ltd from August 1992 to February 2002, focusing on geological and geotechnical activities at lignite mines in the Latrobe Valley. Since February 2002, Ben has held the position of Principal Geologist at GHD, overseeing major projects including the Watermark Coal project and managing core logging in coal-bearing strata. Ben holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Geology/Earth Science from Monash University, obtained between 1975 and 1978.
