Danara Dormaeva

Danara Dormaeva is a Graduate Engineer at GHD since January 2023, bringing valuable experience from a previous role as a Research Aide at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry from March 2022 to February 2023. In the research position, Danara contributed to the BloomOptix startup, focusing on a smartphone/tablet application that detects harmful algal blooms (HABs) in freshwater lakes. Responsibilities included training artificial intelligence to identify various HABs, managing data, analyzing samples in a laboratory, and engaging with lake association volunteers across eight states. Danara holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (2020-2022) and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Lomonosov Moscow State University (2009-2013).
