Darren Maxwell is an experienced engineering geologist and geotechnical team lead with a career spanning over 19 years. Currently employed at GHD since July 2021, Darren leads a geotechnical team and has previously worked for AECOM as an engineering geologist from April 2009 to July 2021, where responsibilities included project management of various geotechnical projects, geological mapping, subsurface investigations, and construction supervision. Prior to AECOM, Darren was involved in significant projects as a geotechnical technician at ESGL for the 2012 Olympic Games and at Maunsell, focusing on civil laboratory testing and earthworks construction supervision. Darren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from The University of Waikato, completed between 2001 and 2004.
