David Norman

David Norman is a Chief Economist, Board Director, and experienced presenter and facilitator. They have held key roles including Chief Economist at Auckland Council, where they provided macro-economic insights and advice on policies, and as a Senior Economist at BRANZ, where they analyzed factors affecting the building and construction industry. David started their career as a Programme Coordinator and Instructor at the International Trade Institute in Taiwan and has since worked in various economic capacities, including as an Associate Director at PwC and Industry and Regional Economist at Westpac New Zealand. Their educational background includes degrees in Economics and Mandarin Chinese from the University of South Africa and a B.Sc. in Psychology and Genetics from Stellenbosch University. Currently, David serves as a Board Member for the Central Economic Development Agency.
