David Walker

David Walker is an experienced professional in strategic business development and advisory services, currently serving as the Principal and APAC Advisory Market Lead at GHD since June 2018. In this role, David leads market strategy and development for the New Zealand Advisory sector, focusing on transport, waters, property, and energy. Prior to GHD, David held the position of Director for Local & Regional Government at PwC New Zealand from February 2007 to June 2018. David's extensive career also includes significant leadership roles at Auckland City Council, where responsibilities spanned finance, infrastructure, customer services, and governance. David began his career in various accounting and finance roles from 1981 to 1989. David holds a BA/BCom in Accounting and Economics from The University of Auckland, obtained between 1977 and 1983.
