Derek McBean

Derek McBean is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in litigation and risk management. Currently serving as General Counsel, Americas, and Principal at GHD since September 2013, Derek oversees legal matters across the region. Prior to this role, Derek was Senior Counsel at exp Global Inc. from 2009 to 2013, where responsibilities included managing a comprehensive North American litigation and risk management portfolio. Derek began his legal career at Goodmans LLP, working in the Litigation Group from 2003 to 2009, focusing on commercial litigation across various legal matters. Derek holds an LLB in Law from The University of British Columbia, obtained between 1999 and 2002, and a BSc (Hons.) in Biopsychology from Western University, completed from 1994 to 1999.
