Douglas Ries

Douglas Ries is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in project management and design. Currently serving as Principal and Branch Manager at GHD since March 2017, Douglas specializes in overseeing complex civil engineering projects, particularly those related to public works, including roadway, utility, and drainage design. Prior to GHD, Douglas held the positions of President, Principal, and Branch Manager at Omni-Means from October 1994 to February 2017. Early in the career, Douglas worked as an Associate Civil Engineer at the City of Vacaville Public Works Department, focusing on public improvement projects, and began as a Civil Engineer Designer at Moldenhauer Engineering Company. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman, completed in 1986.
