Gary Vernon is a highly experienced civil engineering professional with extensive expertise in project management and technical direction. Currently serving as Technical Director - Civil at GHD since November 2020, Gary also holds the position of Principal Engineer at AECOM and Principal Civil Engineer at Opus International Consultants Limited, contributing valuable leadership since January 2018 and May 2016, respectively. Previously, Gary managed projects at Cardno from January 2012 to May 2016 and acted as Civil Group Manager at GHD from March 2009 to May 2011. Early career roles include Associate Transport Advisory at Aurecon and Project Manager Roads at SMEC. Gary obtained a Master of Engineering Science in Project Management from UNSW in 1984 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from UNSW from 1977 to 1981.
