Johnny Au

Johnny Au is a Technical Director in Materials Technology at GHD, bringing over 19 years of experience in asset durability, condition assessment, and remedial design evaluation in Australia and Hong Kong. Previously, Johnny held roles as Inspection & Repair Manager at BCRC and Materials Engineer at Ove Arup & Partners HK Ltd. Johnny has worked with notable clients including BHP and the Department of Defence, and contributed as Design Manager on an award-winning redevelopment project for the Department of Defence. In addition to current responsibilities, Johnny has been a board member of the Australasian Concrete Repair & Remedial Building Association since 2020. Johnny holds an MBA from The University of Western Australia and advanced degrees in Civil Infrastructure and Civil Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
