Laura Bender is an experienced Environmental Engineer currently employed at GHD since June 2020, previously serving as a Hydrogeologist Engineering Assistant in 2019. At GHD, Laura has focused on analyzing hydrogeologic data, utilizing software for report preparation, and assisting in groundwater flow model development. Prior to this, Laura gained valuable experience at the City of Markham, inspecting stormwater infrastructure, managing databases, and preparing technical documents, as well as working at the City of Mississauga in storm drainage assessment and urban channel design. Laura's early career included roles in animal care research and STEM education, complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph.
