Les Smit

Les Smit is a Principal Structural Engineer at GHD, where they have worked since 2006. With over 30 years of experience, Les has a diverse background in designing major structural and civil engineering projects, including buildings, railway stations, and bridges. Les previously served as an Associate Director at Arup for 24 years, managing significant commercial and retail developments. They hold a Master of Engineering Science and a Diploma from the University of London and Imperial College London, respectively, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, all earned with First Class honors.
