Marcel Oosthuizen is a Business Group Leader in WA Energy at GHD, where they lead a team of over 100 professionals focused on developing sustainable energy assets. Previously, Marcel served as Technical Director and Team Lead for Power Engineering at GHD from 2016 to 2021, and held roles as Power Systems Protection Engineer and Portfolio Design Manager at Western Power from 2011 to 2014. Marcel began their career as a Junior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at Tenova Pyromet from 2007 to 2008. They earned an Executive MBA from The University of Western Australia and are currently pursuing a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Johannesburg.
