Matt Dodson

Matt Dodson has extensive experience in hydrogeology and groundwater resource management. Dodson served as a Groundwater Resource Analyst at Hawkes Bay Regional Council from September 2009 to July 2011, where responsibilities included collecting groundwater data and conducting analyses. From August 2011 to March 2018, Dodson worked at Environment Canterbury, progressing from Hydrogeologist to Senior Hydrogeologist, and later as Team Leader for Groundwater Science, overseeing project management and technical advice. In July 2023, Dodson took on roles as Technical Lead - Hydrogeology and Senior Hydrogeologist at GHD. Prior experience includes serving as a Lance Corporal and Private in the New Zealand Defence Force from January 1996 to January 2003. Dodson holds a degree from the University of Canterbury, completed between 2003 and 2009.
