Maya Lassow

Maya Lassow, Eng., M.Eng., M.Sc. is an experienced engineer specializing in mine tailings and water management, currently associated with GHD as an Engineer since July 2023. Previously, Maya served as Team Lead for Hydrology at WSP in Canada and worked at Wood as a Civil and Geotechnical Engineer, where responsibilities included hydraulic design, management of tailings storage facilities, and water management. Early career roles include work as a Civil and Geotechnical Technician supervising mine tailings deposits, as well as research in sustainable runoff treatment at HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale. Internships at Dar Al-Handasah focused on water distribution system design in Dubai, while work with Emaar involved supervising infrastructure site work. Maya holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering Technology from Concordia University and a Research Masters and Bachelor's degree in Water Resources Engineering from Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
