Michael Johnston

Michael Johnston currently serves as the Manager of Project Management at GHD since June 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing GHD’s Programme Management business group and leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives. Previously, Michael held various notable roles such as Senior Project Manager at Turner & Townsend, managing significant projects like the Qatar Shell project and the Galeries Lafayette department store. Additional experience includes project management positions at AECOM, where contributions were made to major infrastructure projects like the Al Wakrah Stadium for the FIFA World Cup, and earlier roles as Assistant Project Manager at Davis Langdon. Michael also served as a Board Member for the Qatar British Business Forum and chaired the Doha Hub Committee for The Chartered Institute of Building. Educational background includes a short program from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management from Edinburgh Napier University.
