Michael Lane

Michael Lane, PWS, currently serves as the Natural Resources Technical Director at GHD, leading the Midcontinent Natural Resources, Impact Assessment, and Permitting team since April 2024. Prior to this role, Michael was the regional manager for Freese and Nichols' environmental services in Houston/SETX from January 2016 to April 2024, where responsibilities included client management and project oversight related to Section 404 permit authorizations and NEPA compliance. Earlier experience includes positions as an Environmental Consultant, Project Manager, and Environmental Science Intern at Freese and Nichols, as well as serving as a Research Assistant at the Environmental Institute of Houston during graduate studies at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife, Fish and Wildlands Science and Management from Texas A&M University.
