Nicholas Jones is a seasoned professional in project management with extensive experience in the energy, resources, and mining sectors. Currently serving as the Technical Director of Project Management at GHD since August 2018, Nicholas provides leadership for multidisciplinary projects in Western Canada, focusing on feasibility studies and execution strategies for national and international clients. Previous roles include managing complex capital projects at Port Waratah Coal Services, overseeing maintenance operations at OneSteel and Rio Tinto, and engineering leadership at BHP Billiton and Xstrata. Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UNSW, a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management from RMIT University, and several qualifications from the Royal Australian Navy in Engineering Control Systems and Technology Management.
