Ning Chen

Ning Chen is a highly experienced engineering professional with a notable career in bridge and structural design. Currently serving as a Senior Transportation Engineer Bridge at GHD since August 2024, Ning's expertise encompasses railroad bridges, highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, transit structures, retaining walls, sign structures, and culvert design. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Bridge Engineer at HDR from July 1999 to August 2024, focusing on similar structural projects, as well as work as a Bridge Engineer at the West Virginia Department of Highway from January 1996 to July 1999. Earlier in the career, Ning worked as a Structural Engineer at the Shanghai Vegetable Company Design Institute, specializing in the design of a 200-ton capacity refrigerator food storage building. Ning Chen holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from West Virginia University, completed between 1994 and 1995, and further education at Oklahoma State University.
