Robert Virtue is the Technical Director of Hydrogeology and Geochemistry at GHD and leads the Tasmanian groundwater team. With a background as a contract geologist at Saracen Minerals from 1987 to 1991 and serving as the Tasmanian Chairman for the International Association of Hydrogeologists from 2008 to 2013, they have extensive experience in the field. Robert earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology from Queensland University of Technology between 1982 and 1985 and pursued a Master’s in Hydrogeology, which they did not complete. In their spare time, Robert enjoys sailing, house restoration, and gardening at their B&B in Tasmania.
