Shaun Hamilton

Shaun Hamilton is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Waikato Regional Leader and Planning Team Leader at GHD since December 2016. Previous roles include Senior Planner and Environmental Planner, with earlier experience as a Planning Officer at both the London Borough of Merton, where responsibilities included processing major residential development applications, and the London Borough of Ealing. Prior to these positions, Shaun worked as a Resource Management Planner at Opus International Consultants, focusing on environmental assessments and community engagement, and as a Researcher, Tutor, and Laboratory Demonstrator at the University of Otago. Shaun's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science and a Master's in Planning from the University of Otago, with a thesis centered on groundwater management in India, alongside foundational education at Waiuku College.
