Timothy Mote currently serves as Senior Technical Director - Engineering Geology at GHD, with extensive experience in climate risk and resilience, engineering geology, and geohazards. Previously, Timothy worked at Arup for over 15 years in various roles including Associate Principal, Australasian Geotechnical Engineering and Applied Geology Skills Leader, and NSW Geotechnics Leader, focusing on areas such as climate change adaptation and disaster resilience. Prior to Arup, Timothy held positions at Geomatrix Consultants, Bechtel, and Quokka Sports, with a foundational role at Place Dome Exploration. Timothy holds a PhD in Geology from the University of California, Berkeley, and has further specialized in big data analytics and resilience of urban systems through advanced education at UCL and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
